Comment: hi. i'm adam. for now, I live in Kansai, Japan about 1.5hr from kyoto and an hour from nagoya. before coming to japan, i was living in montreal, canada and involved myself extensively in the local PIRG (public interest research group), worked at the collectively-run vegan food store and worked in the various direct-action groups that culminated in the anti-FTAA (free trade agreement of the americas) demonstrations in quebec city in april 2001. since then, i have been in japan and although i haven't been as active in direct activism (aside from some good, tame japanese union marches and the tokyo gay pride) i'm excited about working with a new japan indymedia.
